General Election 2019: West Country Battlegrounds Wells

We have looked at five constituencies in the East of the region and five constituencies in the West of the region that will have the closest battles between the political parties.

Wells has seen some fascinating fights between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats for years and the 2017 general election was no exception.

It's far from being a safe seat for either party and the showground of the Royal Bath & West of England Society was a fitting venue for hours of drama as the counting of the votes stretched from late at night to early in the morning.

There was certainly tension in the air with the prize of a seat which really indicates the wider political mood among voters on offer.
