Police release CCTV footage in bid to gather information on Lawrence Weston sexual assault
CCTV has been released by police in a bid to trace key witnesses in relation to a sexual assault in Lawrence Weston.
At around 5.30pm on September 20, the victim parked her car in Moor Grove and was then approached by a man who came from the lane leading into Tump Woods.
He sexually assaulted her before running away in the direction of the woods.
The attacker is described as white, 5ft 5 to 5ft 6ins tall and of slim to medium build. She believed him to be in his early 20s but said he had a ‘baby face’ so could be younger. He wore dark-coloured clothing and carried a black rucksack.
Officers are keen to trace several people seen in the area at around the time:
Two women walked up Moor Grove. One was wheeling a pushchair
A man and a woman headed up the lane with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog. The woman was using a walking stick.
Police have said all of the above people could provide invaluable information to help officers with their investigation.
The incident is being treated as an isolated attack.
