Delabole Post Office thrown temporary lifeline

People wanting to collect their post in Delabole in Cornwall will need to use a mobile service from now until the foreseeable future.

The rural village has been added to the travelling Post Office service which already serves several neighbouring communities.

The service is offered by St Breward Postmaster and is being treated as a temporary solution whilst a more permanent one is found.

Whilst the service is a temporary fixture, some villagers will be relieved that a solution has been found, after their local branch in Delabole closed in August 2019. The closure was temporary, after the Postmaster resigned.

The mobile service is due to begin next week and will be visiting:

  • Every Tuesday: 12am - 3pm

  • Wednesday: 1.30 – 3pm

  • Friday: 1.30 – 3pm

It will be parked in the car park of Delabole Primary School, High Street, Delabole, PL33 9AJ.
