Elmer auction raises £323,000 for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth

An auction of 40 unique Elmer elephants has fetched £323,000 for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth.

The individual sculptures were all designed and painted by artists and showcased around Plymouth as part of Elmer’s Big Parade.

The money that was raised is enough to provide care for 350 families at St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth.

The star Elmer of the night, created by Plymouth-based artist Brian Pollard was auctioned off for £36,000 to the Miller family.
