Fox cub freed after getting head stuck inside wheel in Bristol

A curious fox cub has been released back into the wild after getting its head stuck inside the wheel of a car in Bristol.

The inquisitive creature got stuck fast when he poked his head through the wheel in a storage yard near Pennywell Road in St Jude’s.

He was spotted by a concerned member of the public, who had to call the fire service to cut off the tyre.

The fox was then transported to the Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, where vets managed to free him using lubricant.

Staff at the centre said it was the second case of a fox getting stuck inside a tyre this year.
