Swindon teenager jailed for more than 11 years for stabbing man in the back with 'zombie' knife
A Swindon teenager who plunged a 'zombie knife' so deep into a man's buttocks it had to be surgically removed has been jailed for more than 11 years.
Aaron Toward-Parker, 19, was found guilty of wounding with intent to cause GBH at Swindon Crown Court in August, and was today (3 October) sentenced to 11 years 8 months at a young offenders institute.
It is thought the victim was stabbed during a skirmish over a friend's girlfriend as the incident unfolded at a park near Bexley Walk park in Swindon on 20 January 2019.
Co-defendant Jack Parfitt, 18, previously pleaded guilty to possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and unlawful wounding.
He was previously sentenced to a two-year rehabilitation order.
Police said Parfitt had arranged to meet one of the victims in the park to discuss an ongoing dispute involving one of their girlfriends.
Both teens arrived armed with weapons, intending to assault the victims, who were not armed and not expecting violence.
When they arrived, Parfitt shot one of the victims twice in the face using an air gas gun, and Toward-Parker stabbed another victim in the lower back, causing the knife to become stuck in his buttock.
An x-ray image published by police soon after the attack showed the knife deeply embedded into the victim's back.
Sentencing him at Judge Peter Crabtree OBE told Toward-Parker his victim had been "remarkably fortunate" to survive the attack.
