Police warning to avoid Ottery after flash floods hit Devon

Police in Ottery St Mary have warned people to avoid the area amid flooding caused by heavy rain.

A Met Office yellow warning of thunderstorms is in place for Devon and Cornwall for the whole of Monday.

Police images show that the water is waist-high and is making the road impassible.

Police are at the scene to help drivers through the flooded water.
