Peaches Golding to open new toll houses on Bristol's suspension bridge
Peaches Golding OBE, Lord Lieutenant of the City & County of Bristol, will be opening the new Clifton Suspension Bridge Toll House today, Wednesday 4 September.
They will now have the capabilities to operate throughout all hours of the day, every day of the year.
The project has been ongoing for seven months. It involved demolishing and replacing the 1950s toll booths on the Clifton side of the bridge and an additional 1970s building on the Leigh Woods side.
