Exeter Chiefs create professional women's rugby team

Exeter Chiefs has created the club's first ever affiliated women's team.

The Exeter Rugby Club's new professional women's team begin imminently with the plan to gain a place within the Tyrell's Premier 15s League ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The club will be employing former England Women's internationals Susie Appleby and Amy Garnett as part of their senior coaching team.

Susie will be taking on the role of Head Coach with the assistance of Amy.

The duo will be pulling together a squad of players in the next year with the plan of entering the 2020 season in 12 months time.
