Watch the moment a World War Two bomb is blown up on South Devon beach
This video shows the moment a Second World War bomb was exploded on a Devon beach.
It was discovered by builders on a field in Strete, South Devon on Wednesday afternoon (28 August).
Police and the Royal Navy bomb squad moved the rocket head to a nearby beach so that it could be detonated in a controlled environment.
Devon and Cornwall Police thanked the public for their patience, reassuring them that the explosion that people might have heard was nothing to worry about.
Another bomb was found in South Devon earlier this week, which prompted a mass evacuation.
It was the fifth such incident to have occurred at the harbour in the past two months.
