Penzance Helicopters is officially taking bookings for the new Isles of Scilly helicopter service which will launch in 2020.

People will be able to fly from Penzance to the islands of Tresco and St Mary's from March next year.

But for those who like to book ahead, you can grab your tickets now.

The new operation will be the only scheduled helicopter service for the Isles of Scilly with up to 17 flights a day, six days a week. Plans to reinstate the service between Penzance and the islands were initially submitted in 2016, four years after it first ended.

Since then anyone travelling to Tresco or St Mary's has had to fly from Land's End, Newquay, Exeter or take the Scillonian Passenger Ferry.

Construction of the new heliport started in March 2019. It's situated a mile from Penzance Railway Station and adjacent to the A30.
