Totnes MP Sarah Wollaston joins Lib Dems

Totnes MP Sarah Wollaston has announced she's joining the Liberal Democrats, the second party she's switched to this year.

She was one of three Conservative MPs to join the then newly formed party Change UK in February and later chose to sit as an independent.

In an open letter explaining her decision Dr Wollaston calls for a general election and says Brexit has "sucked all the political energy out of government."
