Plymouth Argyle have completed their second and third signing under new manager Ryan Lowe.

Attacking winger Danny Mayor joined the Pilgrims after leaving newly-promoted League One side Bury.

The 28-year-old played under Lowe at the Shakers as they won automatic promotion from League Two at their first attempt last season.

He later joined Bury, where he twice won promotion from the fourth tier - in 2014/15 and last season.

Lowe's first signing was midfielder, Joe Edwards, from League Two rivals Walsall.

Defender Will Aimson follows hot on the heels of Joe Edwards and Danny Mayor and is now Lowe's third new signing.

The centre-back, who turned 25 earlier this month, made 43 appearances under Ryan at Bury last season.

Hampshire-born Aimson previously played for Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers, the latter on loan from Hull City. He was originally picked up as a teenager from non-league Eastleigh.

Speaking to ITV News about why he made the move he said: "When I spoke to Ryan Lowe it was a no brainer. He plays the kind of football I want to play."
