Armed officers were called to the Streatham Campus around 11:30am on Wednesday (19 June) to reports of a man "making threats to other students, whilst in possession of a handgun".

Two firearms officers and a police dog entered the Amory Building arrested the man and seized what appeared to be a metal handgun.

Further examination indicated that it was indeed a replica or blank-firing handgun.
