Pet owner in Yate may 'need to move' after cat shot with air rifle for third time
A cat owner from Yate has been left emotional and angry after her cat was shot by an airgun for the third time.
Liz Jenkins says the latest incident happened last Friday and left a pellet lodged near her pet's spine. She told ITV News West Country she will be 'forced to move' if the abuse continues.
In the third attack in as many years, Grace the Birman cat was left with a pellet lodged near her spine.
Vets say Grace is lucky and, if the muscles that cover her spine had not taken the brunt of the shooting, she could have been left with lasting damage.
Liz has set up an anti-cruelty campaign, and will begin going door-to-door to raise awareness of the issue.
She says that though moving home would be a drastic measure, she will have no choice if the attacks continue.
