Cullompton firefighters rescue cow stuck in tree

This was an a-moo-sing call-out for Cullompton and Exmouth firefighters.

Officers found the unfortunate cow stuck in a tree in woodland near Cullompton.

The animal managed to get wedged between the branches of a tree precariously close to a river.

Exmouth Fire Station posted on Facebook they initially thought there was a mistake in the original call for help after reports a "cows legs are stuck in a tree and hanging".

Specialist Rescue Teams used a winch and rescue line to pull the cow free.

Fortunately the animal was released unharmed.
