Prison pasties in Plymouth
For those arrested at Charles Cross police station in Plymouth it's a local, hand-made pasty that awaits them in custody.
Insp Andy Paxman said he was unsure as to whether the other custody centres in Devon and Cornwall offered the traditional treat, but it had been common practice in Plymouth for many years.
Police officers who have moved to the region from other forces said it was highly unlikely any other police custody suites in the country would offer such a prestigious snack.
The range available to guests of the police include traditional pasties, cheese and onion pasties, vegan pasties as well as hot sausage rolls.
