Elderly woman's home damaged after car set on fire in Frenchay

Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a car was set on fire in Frenchay which spread to and damaged an elderly woman's bungalow.

Emergency services were alerted to reports that an Audi had been set alight in Lynton Way at around 3am on Tuesday 26 March.

The blaze destroyed the car and also spread to the home of an elderly woman who luckily escaped without any injuries.

It destroyed both the garden and the surrounding fence, while also causing heat damage to the bungalow.

Avon and Somerset Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen someone acting suspiciously.
