A Bengal eagle owl, which escaped from the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre at Winnards Perch last Wednesday, 6 February, is now back safe and sound.

Zig, who's about 14 years old, went missing after his aviary was damaged in the high winds and led the centre owners on a merry dance in their efforts to recapture him.

A local farmer had spotted Zig on his land and got in touch on Sunday morning, 11 February, to report another sighting. Staff were able to tempt the errant bird home with some food. They are delighted that he's home.
