Devon's 'loneliest dog' has spent more than 500 days in RSPCA rescue centre
Animal welfare charity RSPCA is pleading with the public after a dog has spent more than 500 days waiting for a home in one of its animal rescue centres.
The two-year-old lurcher, called Hector, arrived at the shelter in Devon in October 2017.
He was brought in by an RSPCA inspector who had concerns for his welfare.
Despite proving popular online, Hector still hasn't found a home.
Staff and volunteers at RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter are desperate to find the lonely dog a home, after he recently spent his second Christmas at the centre.
Hector is an active canine and should be with like-minded owners who can take him on plenty of adventures.
He also likes to swim, visit the beach and play with other dogs.
