Judd Trump has had one of the most exciting weeks of his snooker career but ITV West Country has been following his progress since he could barely look over the table.

The Bristol-born player won his first Masters title at the weekend, beating his childhood hero and world number one Ronnie O'Sullivan.

It's the 29-year-old's first major title since 2011 and we've taken a look back into the archive to see where it all started.

At the age of 8, Trump was being hailed as a "phenomenal young talent" and was already beating adult opponents.

Reflecting back on his training growing up, Trump recognises the support his family have given him.
