Woman killed on Torquay seafront

A woman has died after a collision with a car on Torbay Road in Torquay.

The crash between the pedestrian and a car happened near the Princess Threat at 11:14pm on Friday night.

She was taken to Torbay District Hospital with life threatening injuries but died within the hour.

The driver of the vehicle involved is assisting Devon and Cornwall Police.

Witnesses are requested to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 with information quoting log number 983 of 11th January 2019.
