Cornish post-natal ward wins funding for twin cots

The post-natal ward at Royal Cornwall Hospital has received an early gift as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Charity Appeal.

After fundraising and donations from the public, staff have been able buy two permanent twin cots for little newborns like Oscar and Oliver.

The newborn pair are just a few days old but they're the some of the first Cornish twins to trial sharing a cot.

12 other Cornish units have also won bids ranging from £1,000 to £2,000 in the charity appeal with a bonus £3,000 prize to be awarded to units on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
