How not to drive your Christmas tree home
Some might argue 'the bigger the better' when it comes to Christmas trees but this van driver might be taking the biscuit.
This shocking snap was caught by a speed camera van parked up on the A38 near Plymouth between Deep Lane and Marsh Mills yesterday lunchtime.
PC Jane Bickley, an investigator for the Peninsula Road Safety Partnership, tweeted this 'tree-mendous' photo.
Despite the yellow hi-vis jacket tied to the end of the top of the tree, this doesn't follow safety standards.
According to the Department of Transport vehicles with an overhang front or rear more than 2 meters need marker boards in place, and those over 3 meters need to give at least two clear working days notice to Police.
