Plans to close Shaldon Bridge in south Devon for repairs have been delayed because of the recent bad weather caused by Storm Diana.

Engineers were scheduled to repair the pier supports, which were found to contain rotting timber piles.

The work was meant to start over the weekend, with a provisional closure planned for Sunday, 2 December.

The Bridge will be open as normal. However, diversions are still in place with a three-tonne weight limit.
