Icescape has reopened today (Sunday 25 November) after a fire on Friday night forced 120 skaters off the ice.

It happened just after 5 o'clock at the temporary rink set up with at Weston-super-Mare's Tropicana.

120 people had to leave the venue and one woman was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Avon and Somerset Police say cause of the fire is thought to be accidental, and staff believe the fire was started by an electrical fault in the food court area.

Icescape reopened the rink this morning but the Santa Grotto, bar and restaurant remain closed.

People are being asked to email the company for any refunds.
