Woman jailed for stabbing victim in the neck
A woman has been jailed for stabbing her victim in the neck and stomach following an argument in June last year.
Katrina Carey from Henbury was found guilty of wounding with intent and sentenced to seven and a half years in jail.
The 26 year old attacked another woman, stabbing her in the neck and stomach. The reason for the attack was, according to police, because the victim had a row with a friend of Carey's about a mislaid mobile phone.
Carey stabbed the victim, a 28-year-old woman, in Station Road, Henbury, on Tuesday 20 June 2017.
After being stabbed, the victim managed to get back to her home where she raised the alarm. Police say she suffered extremely serious wounds and the stab wound to her neck was deep, leaving her with some lasting injuries.
