Massive Attack to return to Bristol for one-off gig

Bristol band Massive Attack are set to return to the city for a one-off gig in March next year.

The trip-hop icon's live show will celebrate their 1998 third studio album Mezzanine on its 20th anniversary.

It's been more than two years since they last performed in the city at the Downs Festival in 2016.

They will be performing at the Steel Yard, a custom-built venue on Filton Airfield, which was one of the suggested locations for the Bristol arena.

Since their beginnings the band have released five studio albums and sold over 11 million copies worldwide.

The show will re-imagine Mezzanine twenty one years on from its release using custom audio reconstructed from original samples and influences.

Fans will no doubt be hoping to hear classics like ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Angel’, which have been remastered.

Tickets for the 1st March 2019 gig will go on sale at 10am on 2nd November 2018.
