Music fans are aiming to raise £30,000 to save Looe Music Festival.

On Monday (3 September) the sold-out festival was cancelled when the host charity went into administration.

A team are now fundraising in the hope that a replacement festival, Looe Saves the Day, can be held on the 21-23 September.

In its first 24 hours the campaign raised £6,000 but organisers need another £24,000 in the next week to save the event in a new format.

The campaign currently has support from musicians and local businesses but vital funds are needed to cover event costs.

In previous years Looe Music Festival has brought an economic boost to the coastal town when the Summer season was dying down.
