Bristol's Mayor has told ITV West Country that he is 'open' to offers on where the city's arena should be located.

It follows the announcement yesterday (4 September) that he has scrapped the plans for it to be built on Temple Island.

Marvin Rees said: "Now it's up for anyone with a proposition to build an arena, at Brabazon or anywhere else, to come forward to us."

When asked if the site at Brabazon Hangars is the preferred option for the arena Mr Rees said, "no it doesn't".

The plans being developed at the site in Filton - which was once home to Concorde - are at an advanced stage, but the Mayor insisted that he was open to new offers.
