Charity in memory of Burnham-On-Sea teenager doubles in size
A mother from Burnham-On-Sea who started a charity after her son took his own life, has had to more to bigger premises after taking on more and more clients every year.
Joanne Clement started In Charley's Memory in 2014 to help young people and their families struggling with mental health.
Charley, 18, was suffering with depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
In Charley's Memory took on double the amount of clients, aged between 11-25, in 2018 compared to last year.
They see 32 people a week but by October that's set to rise to 55.
The charity relies on fundraising and grants to keep their doors open, but finding £45,000 a year is not easy as the numbers continue to grow.
Joanne says "These big organisations that are sending their young people to us, doctors sugeries, but they're not sending any funds to us."
