Bristol's second Metrobus route has been unveiled after the launch was delayed due to problems with ticketing and buses not fitting in the guided busways.

The new M2 route will serve the city's popular tourist destinations including the SS Great Britain and Ashton Gate stadium.

It follows the M3 route launched in May which has undertaken more than 120,000 passenger journeys.

The M2 route is one of three being introduced to Bristol as part of a £230m scheme.

It includes a new bridge at Winterstoke Road, near Ashton Gate football ground, enabling the M2 service to avoid Winterstoke Road and Cumberland Basin, both traffic hotspots at peak times.

Services along the route will begin from 3rd September and will operate Monday to Saturday between Long Ashton Park & Ride and the City Centre.
