81-year-old woman found by police helicopter crew

An 81-year-old woman from Alveston in South Gloucestershire who had been missing since Saturday night, 25 August, has been found.

People had been urged to check their sheds, outbuildings and garages for any sign of Maureen Griffin but in the end she was spotted by the crew of the police helicopter in the local area.

She has been taken to hospital for a check up.

Officers have thanked everyone for their help in the search for her.
