Body found after house fire in Hayle

A body has been found after a house fire in Phillack near Hayle.

Seven fire crews were called at 21:13 to Parc and Dix Lane where a fire at one of the terrace houses was well underway.

One team remains there this morning dampening down the scene.

Police say after searching the building a person was located deceased. Officers have not named the person who died as they next of kin have not yet been informed.

Police forensic experts with Fire investigators are currently trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.

At the moment the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
