Elderly woman dies after being hit outside Weymouth hospital

An elderly woman has died after a collision with a car in Weymouth.

The 89-year-old was taken to hospital for injuries not initially thought to be life threatening, but she passed away yesterday afternoon (22 August).

Dorset Police are looking for people with dashcam footage of the incident which happened just after 10am with a red Citroen C4 Picasso outside Weymouth Community Hospital on Melcombe Avenue.

The driver, a 48-year-old woman from Lincolnshire, and her passenger were uninjured.
