Paraglider rescued after Jurassic Coast crash

A paraglider's been rescued after he crash-landed into a cliff on Jurassic Coast.

The man was found on a narrow ledge about 80 meters up the cliff-side of Thorncombe Beacon on Sunday at around 6pm.

The pilot was spotted by members of the public on the beach near Seatown, who alerted the emergency services who arrived with a helicopter.

A coastguard team abseiled down the cliff and pulled the man in his late 20s to safety.

The pilot escaped with only cuts and bruises.
