Two adorable lynx kittens born at Newquay Zoo

Newquay Zoo is now home to two adorable Eurasian lynx kittens.

Born on 21 May 2018, the two cubs have been in the lynx house out of the public view ever since.

Zoo keepers suspected the birth of the twins after mother, Kicsi, didn’t appear at feeding time. Ever since, keepers closely monitored the mother and father for any sign of the cubs and were rewarded.

They have since been able to photograph the pair and even video them.

The two kittens have an older sister, Tink, who was born in May 2017. Mother Kicsi and Father Boomer have been looking after the little ones closely.

Kicsi is clearly a great mum - the video shows her washing her babies and makes sure they don't get too far out of sight.

There are six species of Eurasian lynx - Newquay Zoo is home to the Carpathian lynx. This species is predominantly found in the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe.
