Plymouth tower block residents still waiting for safe cladding
One year on from the devastating Grenfell Tower fire in London, residents in three Plymouth tower blocks say they still fear a similar fate.
The cladding on the Mount Wise Towers failed safety tests that were rolled out following the London fire last year.
12 months later they still haven't been removed but the Government has now committed to providing the money for the re-cladding.
Plymouth Community Homes is responsible for maintaining the 90 flats, and has already spent more than a million pounds on new fire safety measures including a new sprinkler system.
It's anticipated the new cladding will be fitted to the Mount Wise Towers this Autumn.
