Man jailed for life for murdering his girlfriend and disposing of her body

A man has been sentenced to life with a minimum of 28 years for brutally murdering his girlfriend in a flat they shared in Marazion some time in January 2017.

33-year-old Dean Lowe attacked 32-year-old Kirby Noden with a rock and a metal pole before disposing of her body in bins and down a toilet.

The mother of Kirby Noden told police about the "unbearable" pain of not being able to say goodbye to her daughter or give her the "dignity of a funeral". Anita Noden said Kirby was a "warm and caring person who would do anything for anyone".

In sentencing Lowe at Exeter Crown Court, Mrs Justice May said nobody would ever know the details of what happened to Ms Noden, because there was "no body to reveal the extent of your deadly abuse".

She said: "This was a pitiless attack on someone who had done nothing but love you devotedly."
