Hundreds of teenagers complete gruelling Ten Tors Challenge
More than 2,000 teenagers are recovering after completing a gruelling two-day hike across Dartmoor.
The word 'Ten Tors' is infamous for many secondary school pupils across the South West. With 400 teams from across our region taking part at the weekend.
The challenge, organised by the British Army, involves unforgiving hikes between 35 and 55 miles, and is still considered to be the largest event of its kind.
The Jubilee Challenge is a separate event on the Saturday, aimed at participants with physical or educational needs. This year there were some particularly inspiring scenes at the finish line.
Olympic Champion Heather Stanning, who won two gold medals in rowing, was there to hand out the finisher medals.
