More than 30,000 people have signed a petition against the Second Severn Crossing being renamed The Prince of Wales Bridge.

Secretary of State for Wales, Alun Cairns, last week announced the bridge would be given the new name at a ceremony later this year.

The change marks Prince Charles being bestowed with the title 60 years ago along with his 70th birthday.

Petitioners say the public should have been consulted.

The renaming ceremony will take place months before tolls on the Severn crossings are due to be scrapped.
