BANES council considering vehicle charge to reduce pollution
Bath's councillors are considering charging vehicles to go into the city to help reduce pollution.
It is one of the worst areas in the country for air quality and the fumes from vehicles are often above legal limits in a number of areas of the city.
A report out last year highlighted how air pollution contributes to a number of health problems including respiratory issues and even heart disease and cancer.
The government is making money available to help councils like Bath and North East Somerset.
Possible solutions could include changes to road layouts and encouraging more use of public transport.
