Schools shut across West Country in preparation for heavy snowfall

More than 200 schools in Cornwall have announced they are closed today because of the heavy snowy and icy weather.

Plymouth City Council will not be providing Special Educational Need and Disability School Transport to schools. Many schools are also closed.

Over 100 schools in Devon, will also be closed according to Devon County Council.

In Dorset, all county council day centre transport, school buses and taxis have been cancelled today and tomorrow. Not all schools are closed.
