Man jailed for life for Bath murder

A man from Bath has been sentenced to life for the murder of a 27-year-old man and for causing grievous bodily harm to his brother in Foxhill in August 2017.

Tashan Corpe was stabbed to death on Sunday 13 August last year in Sedgemoor Road where he lived. His brother Devon Corpe was also injured.

Josh Farnham, aged 31, was found guilty after a trial at Bristol Crown Court.

At the start of the trial Farnham pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting a two police officers, and causing actual bodily harm to his half-sister.

He has been sentenced to life in prison and will serve a minimum of 24 years.

Rachel Smith, also of Bath, was convicted of assisting Farnham after she drove him away from the scene. The 43-year-old was sentenced to 12 months, suspended for two years, and will be subject to a curfew and rehabilitation order.

Police have thanked the community for their help in the investigation.
