Bristol nightclub death prompts murder investigation

Police have begun a murder investigation after a man died following an altercation at a nightclub in Bristol.

They were called to the Blue Mountain nightclub in Stokes Croft at around 3am this morning (Saturday) to reports of a disturbance.

A man in his thirties was seriously injured in the incident and was taken to hospital but died just hours later.

The area around the nightclub remains cordoned off today a police continue their enquiries.
