Plymouth family 'virtually trapped' inside house by flooding

A family from Plymouth say they are living in fear of the flood outside their home getting worse.

Gemma and Marc Peck from St Budeaux say the problem caused by two blocked gullies has already wrecked their garden and is threatening their house.

The Pecks have seen water levels rise during each of the four winters they've lived in Plymouth's Peter's Park Lane.

This year's flood has virtually trapped the couple and their nine-year-old daughter in their own home.

Gemma and Marc say they are unhappy with what they see as a lack of responsibility being taken by the authorities.

South West Water say the two blocked gullies are the responsibility of the Plymouth City Council.

The Council has so far failed to comment.
