Part of A30 closed after high winds tear off roof
A busy stretch of the A30 in West Cornwall has been closed after high winds tore off part of a shopping centre's roof.
The A30 has remained closed between Hayle and St Erth for most of the morning following damage to the West Cornwall Shopping Park building.
Fire crews have been working to secure the structure.
The road ie expected to re-open later this evening.
Emergency services say they closed the road as a precaution.
Road users have been affected by the closure, with heavy traffic reported between B3301 Carwin Rise (Loggans Moor Roundabout) and A3074 Nut Lane (St Erth Roundabout).
