Gloucestershire energy company calls for changes to wind policy
A Gloucestershire energy company has turned on what it says might be England’s last onshore wind park.
Ecotricity says the three wind turbines at Alveston could power the equivalent of 3000 homes a year.
The Government says it does not believe more large-scale onshore wind power is right for England.
Ecotricity founder Dale Vince says the onshore wind industry has been “effectively killed off by government policy” which blocks all new developments.
