Somerset couple aiming for glory at Commonwealth Games
A Somerset farmer and his wife have been selected to shoot for England at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Ed and Abbey Ling who live near Wellington are both successful international trap shooters.
Ed Ling won a trap shooting bronze at Glasgow in 2014. He followed that achievement with another bronze at last summer's Olympics.
After claiming a medal in Rio, Mr Ling said he was looking forward to getting back to his farm.
Abbey Ling is also hoping to bring home a medal at her first Games.
She has a host of trap shooting medals from World and European championships and was the first lady to win the British Ladies championship three years in a row.
After narrowly missing out on being selected for the 2012 Team GB Olympic squad, Abbey is now set for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
There are other west country stars in the England squad including Ellie Seward from Chard and Commonwealth double gold medal winner David Luckman from Bristol.
