Prince Charles, father of the newly-engaged Prince Harry, says he is "thrilled" about his son's decision to marry Meghan Markle.

The American actress and Prince Harry will wed in spring next year. On the morning the news was announced Prince Charles told ITV News he hoped "they will be very happy indeed".

Meghan and the Prince met in the summer of 2016 and will live in Kensington Palace after their wedding next spring.
